Become a Member
Membership in the Louisiana Bayou Society helps fund the work happening directly in Louisiana’s waterways. Even a small monthly contribution helps provide: cleanup equipment, fuel for cleanup boats, safety gear for volunteers, educational programs, and outreach across Louisiana communities. Membership is designed to be affordable and accessible so anyone who cares about Louisiana’s waterways can participate.
Bayou Member
$5 per month or $60 per year
This is the standard Louisiana Bayou Society membership. Includes:
- membership in the Louisiana Bayou Society
- monthly Bayou Newsletter
- member account access
- ability to upload cleanup photos
- eligibility for monthly prize drawings
- recognition for cleanup contributions
Student Member
$3 per month or $36 per year
We want young people to be part of protecting Louisiana’s future. Student members receive all standard membership benefits at a discounted rate. Includes:
- full membership access
- monthly newsletter
- participation in cleanup recognition programs
- entry into monthly prize drawings
Students may be asked to verify student status when registering.
Family Member
$10 per month or $120 per year
The Family Membership allows an entire household (up to 5) to support the mission and participate together. Includes:
- membership for all members of a household
- family participation in volunteer events
- access to member features
- eligibility for monthly prize drawings
- recognition for family cleanup efforts
Families are encouraged to participate together in community cleanup missions.

Members will have access to a secure section of the website where they can:

Community Cleanup Recognition
Members are encouraged to help Keep Louisiana Beautiful in their own communities. Members can upload photos of litter they collect. Each month we highlight members who are making a difference. Examples of recognition may include:
- Largest cleanup haul of the month
- Most active volunteer
- Community cleanup hero
These members may be featured on the website, in the news letter, and on social media.
Monthly Prize Drawings
Members who upload cleanup photos are entered into monthly prize drawings Prizes may include:
- Louisiana Bayou Society merchandise
- outdoor gear
- gift cards
- recognition awards
This program encourages members to help protect Louisiana’s waterways wherever they live. As this community grows, so will what we give back to the community.
